Description
A deliciously spicy Korean ramen dish topped with grilled beef and drizzled with a creamy sauce, perfect for spice lovers.
Ingredients
Scale
- For the Grilled Beef:
- 300g ribeye or sirloin steak
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp gochujang
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- For the Ramen:
- 2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packet)
- 2 cups chicken or beef broth
- 1 tbsp gochugaru
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt to taste
- For the Creamy Sauce:
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise (Kewpie preferred)
- 1 tbsp sriracha or Korean chili sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Pinch of sugar (optional)
- Garnishes:
- 2 tbsp chopped green onions
- 1 tsp toasted black sesame seeds
- Optional: extra chili oil or gochugaru
Instructions
- Marinate the ribeye or sirloin steak with soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ground black pepper for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill the marinated steak to your desired doneness, then let it rest before slicing it thinly.
- In a pot, bring the chicken or beef broth to a boil, then add the instant ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions. Discard the seasoning packet.
- Once the noodles are cooked, stir in gochugaru, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and salt. Mix well and simmer for a couple of minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the creamy sauce until smooth.
- To serve, place a portion of ramen in a bowl, top with sliced grilled beef, drizzle with creamy sauce, and garnish with green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and optional chili oil or gochugaru.
Notes
- For extra crust on the beef, sear it in a hot skillet for a few minutes on each side before grilling.
- You can adjust the spiciness by modifying the amount of gochujang and sriracha used.
- This recipe works well with additional vegetables like bok choy or mushrooms if desired.
