Description
A refreshing and indulgent Strawberry Shortcake Drink perfect for summer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of any milk
- 1/4 cup of strawberry puree from fresh or frozen berries
- 1/4 cup of vanilla ice cream
- 1/4 cup of ice cubes
- 1 tbsp of sugar or to your liking
- 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Blend half a cup of cleaned strawberries until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve to remove seeds if desired.
- In a blender, combine milk, strawberry mix, vanilla ice cream, ice, sugar, and vanilla. Blend on high until creamy, about 30 to 45 seconds.
- If the mixture is too thick, add more milk. If too thin, add more ice or ice cream and blend again.
- Pour the mixture into a tall glass and top with whipped cream.
- Add sliced strawberries on top of the whipped cream and sprinkle with crumbled shortbread if desired.
- Serve immediately with a straw while it’s cold and frosty.
Notes
- For a sugar-free version, substitute sugar with a sugar alternative.
- Adjust the consistency by changing the amount of milk or ice.
