Description

A refreshing and indulgent Strawberry Shortcake Drink perfect for summer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of any milk
  • 1/4 cup of strawberry puree from fresh or frozen berries
  • 1/4 cup of vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cup of ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp of sugar or to your liking
  • 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Blend half a cup of cleaned strawberries until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve to remove seeds if desired.
  2. In a blender, combine milk, strawberry mix, vanilla ice cream, ice, sugar, and vanilla. Blend on high until creamy, about 30 to 45 seconds.
  3. If the mixture is too thick, add more milk. If too thin, add more ice or ice cream and blend again.
  4. Pour the mixture into a tall glass and top with whipped cream.
  5. Add sliced strawberries on top of the whipped cream and sprinkle with crumbled shortbread if desired.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw while it’s cold and frosty.

Notes

  • For a sugar-free version, substitute sugar with a sugar alternative.
