Description
Taco Pizza Appetizer is a delicious fusion of Mexican flavors and pizza that offers a crispy crust topped with seasoned meat, creamy base, and fresh toppings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces crescent rolls (1 refrigerated tube)
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces sour cream
- 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 taco seasoning packet
- ½ cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded lettuce
- Optional toppings: Jalapeños, chilies, or any other toppings you like
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper or non-stick spray.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough onto the cookie sheet, pressing any seams together to form a continuous sheet. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown, then let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream, mixing until smooth. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, draining any excess fat. Mix in the taco seasoning and cook for a few more minutes.
- Spread the seasoned taco meat over the creamy base on the crust. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.
- Slice the taco pizza into eight pieces and serve immediately.
Notes
- This dish can be made with ground turkey for a leaner option.
- Experiment with various toppings to customize to your liking.
