Description

Taco Pizza Appetizer is a delicious fusion of Mexican flavors and pizza that offers a crispy crust topped with seasoned meat, creamy base, and fresh toppings.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces crescent rolls (1 refrigerated tube)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces sour cream
  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 taco seasoning packet
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce
  • Optional toppings: Jalapeños, chilies, or any other toppings you like

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper or non-stick spray.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto the cookie sheet, pressing any seams together to form a continuous sheet. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown, then let it cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream, mixing until smooth. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, draining any excess fat. Mix in the taco seasoning and cook for a few more minutes.
  5. Spread the seasoned taco meat over the creamy base on the crust. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.
  6. Slice the taco pizza into eight pieces and serve immediately.
