Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Edible glitter for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of water and 1 cup of tequila over medium heat. Stir gently until the mixture is warm but not boiling.
  2. Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and 1/4 cup of corn syrup to the saucepan. Stir continuously until the sugar has completely dissolved, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat to low. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin over the warm mixture and let it sit for 5 minutes, allowing the gelatin to bloom.
  4. After 5 minutes, stir the mixture gently until the gelatin is fully dissolved, ensuring there are no lumps.
  5. Stir in 1 teaspoon of lime juice, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt until well combined.
  6. Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly for about 10 minutes.
  7. Prepare a silicone mold for gummy wands or a shallow dish by lightly greasing it with a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.
  8. Carefully pour the gummy mixture into the prepared mold or dish, filling each cavity or the dish evenly.
  9. Refrigerate the mold or dish for at least 2-3 hours, or until the gummies are fully set and firm to the touch.
  10. Once set, remove the gummies from the mold or cut them into strips if using a dish.
  11. Dust the gummy wands with edible glitter for a sparkling finish.
  12. Store the Tequila Stardust Gummy Wands in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
