- Edible glitter for dusting
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of water and 1 cup of tequila over medium heat. Stir gently until the mixture is warm but not boiling.
- Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and 1/4 cup of corn syrup to the saucepan. Stir continuously until the sugar has completely dissolved, about 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin over the warm mixture and let it sit for 5 minutes, allowing the gelatin to bloom.
- After 5 minutes, stir the mixture gently until the gelatin is fully dissolved, ensuring there are no lumps.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of lime juice, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt until well combined.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly for about 10 minutes.
- Prepare a silicone mold for gummy wands or a shallow dish by lightly greasing it with a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.
- Carefully pour the gummy mixture into the prepared mold or dish, filling each cavity or the dish evenly.
- Refrigerate the mold or dish for at least 2-3 hours, or until the gummies are fully set and firm to the touch.
- Once set, remove the gummies from the mold or cut them into strips if using a dish.
- Dust the gummy wands with edible glitter for a sparkling finish.
- Store the Tequila Stardust Gummy Wands in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
