Description

Delicious chocolate cookies with chunks of Oreo and pink/red M&M’s for Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1½ cups crushed Oreos (about 12 cookies)
  • 1 cup red, pink & white M&M’s
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 °C (350 °F).
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and white sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  5. Add the crushed Oreos, M&M’s, and chocolate chips, mixing just enough to distribute everything evenly.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for about 9-10 minutes, until the edges are set (the center may look slightly soft, which is normal).
  8. Let cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Ensure the butter is softened to room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Do not overbake the cookies; they should be soft in the center.
