Description
Delicious chocolate cookies with chunks of Oreo and pink/red M&M’s for Valentine’s Day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1½ cups crushed Oreos (about 12 cookies)
- 1 cup red, pink & white M&M’s
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175 °C (350 °F).
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and white sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Add the crushed Oreos, M&M’s, and chocolate chips, mixing just enough to distribute everything evenly.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 9-10 minutes, until the edges are set (the center may look slightly soft, which is normal).
- Let cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
- Ensure the butter is softened to room temperature for easier mixing.
- Do not overbake the cookies; they should be soft in the center.
