Description

A refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail made with fresh watermelon and lime, perfect for hot summer days.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups cubed watermelon, plus a small wedge for garnish
  • Ice
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice, plus more for the glass rim
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tajin seasoning
  • Lime wheel, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed watermelon in a blender or food processor and blend until it liquifies. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to separate the juice from any chunks of melon. Pour the juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of the lime juice and the agave nectar to the shaker and cover. Shake until the ingredients are well mixed and chilled.
  3. Place lime juice on a small saucer or plate. On a separate small plate, combine the coarse salt and Tajin seasoning. Dip the rim of a rocks glass in the lime juice, followed by the seasoning mixture to coat the rim.
  4. Pour ice into the glass, then pour the watermelon mixture over the ice. Garnish with a small wedge of watermelon and a ring of lime.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less agave nectar to taste.
  • For an extra kick, add a pinch of chili powder to the garnishing salt.
