Description

A refreshing and festive White Christmas Sangria perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 750 ml Sauvignon Blanc dry white wine (chardonnay or pinot grigio)
  • 1/3 cup orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1/2 cup white cranberry juice
  • 1 red apple, 1 inch cubes
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 3 cinnamon sticks (optional more for garnish)
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup lemon lime soda (for flavor and fizz)
  • 6 rosemary sprigs (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Add one red apple (cut into 1 inch cubes), 1 cup of fresh cranberries, and 3 cinnamon sticks into a large pitcher.
  2. Add the liquids: 750 ml Sauvignon Blanc dry white wine, 1/3 cup orange liqueur, 1/2 cup white cranberry juice cocktail, and 1 tsp of lime juice.
  3. Give it a good stir, cover with plastic wrap and place in your refrigerator for 4 hours for the flavors to meld.
  4. Before serving, add the lemon-lime soda and stir it. Avoid adding soda beforehand to keep it carbonated.
  5. Pour sangria into a glass and garnish with chopped fruit from the pitcher, cinnamon sticks, and rosemary sprig if desired.

Notes

  • For stronger flavor, let it sit overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Feel free to add other fruits like oranges or berries for additional flavor.
  • This sangria can be made a day in advance, just add soda just before serving.
