Description
Delightful bite-sized appetizers made with puff pastry, cream cheese, and pepper jelly.
Ingredients
Scale
- Cooking spray
- 1 (14-oz) package puff pastry, thawed if frozen
- 1 (8-oz) block cold cream cheese
- 1/2 cup pepper jelly
- Fresh thyme leaves, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°. Grease 2 24-cup mini muffin pans with cooking spray. Cut the puff pastry into 24 pieces and place each piece into the prepared cups.
- Bake the pastry until lightly golden and puffed, about 12 minutes. Let it cool slightly.
- Cut the cream cheese into 24 pieces. Press one piece into the center of each puff pastry cup, separating the pastry in the center as needed. Top each one with about 1 heaping teaspoon pepper jelly.
- Bake again until the puff pastry is golden brown and the cream cheese is warmed through, 8 to 10 minutes more.
- Top with thyme leaves, if desired. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Make sure the puff pastry is thawed before use.
- You can substitute other types of jelly if desired.
- Thyme leaves add additional flavor but are optional.
