Apple Pie Biscuit Sandwiches are a delightful fusion of flaky biscuits filled with sweet apple pie filling, perfect for a quick dessert or snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups apple pie filling
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the chilled butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in milk until a soft dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll out to about 1/2-inch thick.
  6. Cut out biscuit shapes using a cookie cutter and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let the biscuits cool slightly, then slice them in half.
  9. Fill each biscuit with apple pie filling sprinkled with cinnamon.
  10. Top with the other half of the biscuit and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
