- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 cups apple pie filling
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the chilled butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in milk until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll out to about 1/2-inch thick.
- Cut out biscuit shapes using a cookie cutter and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let the biscuits cool slightly, then slice them in half.
- Fill each biscuit with apple pie filling sprinkled with cinnamon.
- Top with the other half of the biscuit and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, try adding nutmeg to the apple filling.
