Cheesy Sloppy Joe Garlic Toast is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that combines the classic flavors of sloppy joes with crispy garlic toast and melted cheese.

- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ yellow onion finely diced
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 8 slices garlic toast frozen
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the tomato sauce, ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, onion powder, and garlic powder to the skillet. Stir well to combine, then simmer for a few minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the frozen garlic toast slices in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
- Spoon a generous amount of the sloppy Joe mixture onto each slice of garlic toast, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the toast is hot and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add some hot sauce to the sloppy Joe mixture.
- Feel free to use ground turkey or chicken as a substitute for beef.
- This recipe can easily be doubled for larger gatherings.
