- 12 oz pasta shells, cooked and drained
- 2–3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 full bottle barbecue sauce
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Onion powder, to taste
- Paprika, to taste
Instructions
- Season the chicken: Place the chicken breasts into the slow cooker and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Add sauce and cook: Pour the barbecue sauce over the chicken, making sure it’s well coated. Cover and cook on high for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Shred and mix: Using two forks, shred the chicken directly in the crockpot and stir it into the sauce.
- Add pasta: Stir in the cooked pasta shells until evenly combined.
- Make it creamy: Add butter, heavy cream, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Mix thoroughly until everything is coated.
- Melt and finish: Cover and let sit for a few minutes until the cheeses are fully melted and the mixture becomes creamy.
- Serve: Stir once more and serve warm.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the level of barbecue sauce to your taste.
- To make it spicier, add some crushed red pepper or jalapeños.
