Description
Garlic Butter Bowtie Pasta with Ground Beef is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that features tender bowtie pasta coated in a flavorful garlic butter sauce and complemented by ground beef.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz bowtie farfalle pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion finely diced
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- ½ cup beef broth
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spatula and cook for 5–6 minutes, until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the beef broth, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 3–4 minutes, letting the liquid reduce slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until everything is well coated. Drizzle with a little extra olive oil if needed for shine and moisture.
- Plate the pasta, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Top with extra black pepper if desired and serve hot.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
- This dish can be made ahead and reheated, although fresh pasta is best.
- For a creamier texture, consider adding a splash of heavy cream along with the beef broth.
