Description

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers are a flavorful and juicy dish made with chicken tenders and coated in a rich garlic parmesan butter sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken tenders, thighs or breast
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 stick butter
  • 810 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup parmesan, grated
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce, more if desired
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Combine chicken seasoning ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Cut chicken into 3″ pieces, place in a large bowl or ziptop bag, and coat with olive oil and spices.
  4. Pack chicken onto the skewers tightly.
  5. Add butter and garlic to a microwave-safe bowl and heat until partially melted.
  6. Add red pepper flakes, hot sauce, parsley, and parmesan to the butter and whisk together.
  7. Scoop out 1/3 of the sauce for basting par-cooked chicken and reserve the rest.
  8. Cook 2-3 skewers in an air fryer at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
  9. Flip skewers, baste with sauce, and cook for an additional 2 minutes at 400 degrees.
  10. Flip back, baste with more sauce, and cook another 5-6 minutes until internal temp reaches 165 degrees.
  11. Serve with a final pass of garlic sauce and extra parmesan.

Notes

  • Ensure the chicken is tightly packed on skewers for maximum juiciness.
  • For best flavor, use freshly minced garlic and freshly grated parmesan.
  • Keep a separate basting brush for the reserved sauce to avoid cross-contamination.
