Description
A delicious and easy recipe for honey glazed steak strips, perfect for grilling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sirloin or flank steak, cut into thin strips
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, black pepper, salt, and paprika if you like a little extra flavor.
- Add the steak strips to the bowl, toss well to coat, and cover. Pop it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes—longer if you want more flavor.
- Set a grill pan over medium-high heat and let it get nice and hot. Give it a quick spray or brush of oil to prevent sticking.
- Lay out the steak strips in a single layer (cook in batches if needed). Grill each side for 2–3 minutes until seared and caramelized.
- Take the steak off the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve warm—great with rice, roasted veggies, or tucked into wraps and sandwiches.
Notes
- For a deeper flavor, marinate the steak strips longer than 30 minutes.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the steak is cooked to your liking.
- Adjust the honey amount based on your sweetness preference.
