Description

A delicious omelette inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak, combining tender sirloin steak, onions, bell peppers, and provolone cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 white onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 pound sirloin steak, cooked and sliced thinly
  • 8 eggs
  • 4 provolone cheese slices
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tomato, diced

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium pan or skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil, then toss in your onion and green bell pepper.
  2. Sauté for about 5 minutes or until soft, then add cooked steak for just a minute to warm. Remove from the pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Pour 1/4 of the eggs into the skillet and let it cover the whole pan.
  5. Add some steak and veggies to one half of the omelette and top with a slice of provolone.
  6. Fold half of the egg on top of the cheese, steak, and veggies, then flip. Let cook for 1-2 minutes, then remove.
  7. Repeat with the rest of the egg mix to make 4 omelettes.
  8. Top with salt, pepper, and diced tomato.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of vegetables according to your preference.
  • Feel free to substitute other types of cheese if provolone is not available.
  • This recipe can be made with leftover steak for quicker preparation.
