Description

Savory Maple Bourbon Bacon Dip with Cheddar is a rich and creamy appetizer that combines savory bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, and a hint of sweetness from maple syrup, all enhanced by the depth of bourbon.

  • 8 oz Bacon
  • 8 oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp Bourbon
  • 2 tbsp Green Onions
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, maple syrup, bourbon, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix until smooth, around 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gently stir in shredded cheddar, most of the cooked bacon (saving a bit for topping), and half of the green onions.
  4. Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe baking dish, spreading it evenly, and top it with the reserved bacon.
  5. Place in the oven and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, until hot and bubbly, with golden edges.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with remaining green onions. Serve warm with crackers or sliced baguette.
