Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 5 small/medium potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1–2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (for seasoning potatoes; to taste)
Instructions
- Prep and Cook the Potatoes: Peel, wash, and dice potatoes into cubes. Toss them with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Cook in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes, shaking the basket occasionally for even browning.
- Make the Sloppy Joe Mixture: While the potatoes cook, brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, and BBQ sauce. Simmer on low until the potatoes are ready.
- Combine and Finish: Add the crispy air-fried potatoes to the skillet. Top with shredded cheddar cheese. Place the skillet under the broiler just until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Serve hot and dig in!
