Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Sloppy Joe Potato Skillet that combines tender potatoes with a flavorful ground beef mixture and topped with melted cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 5 small/medium potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 12 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (for seasoning potatoes; to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prep and Cook the Potatoes: Peel, wash, and dice potatoes into cubes. Toss them with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Cook in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes, shaking the basket occasionally for even browning.
  2. Make the Sloppy Joe Mixture: While the potatoes cook, brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, and BBQ sauce. Simmer on low until the potatoes are ready.
  3. Combine and Finish: Add the crispy air-fried potatoes to the skillet. Top with shredded cheddar cheese. Place the skillet under the broiler just until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Serve: Serve hot and dig in!
