- 8 oz jalapeño peppers, chopped (about 4–5 large or 8 medium)
- 1 oz white onion, chopped
- 1 oz garlic, chopped
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Add jalapeños, onion, garlic, vinegar, lime juice, and salt to a blender or food processor.
- Blend until completely smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a small saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 10 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Taste and adjust salt or lime juice if needed.
- Strain if you prefer a smoother sauce, or leave as-is for more texture.
- Pour into bottles or jars and refrigerate.
- Let sit for a day for the best flavor before using.
