- 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine cherries, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the cherry mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Dot the top of the filling with small pieces of butter.
- Cover with another pie crust or use a lattice crust if desired.
- Seal and flute the edges of the crust.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Let cool before serving.
